A little bit later than usual, but here's the quick report from our latest Gamedev.js Warsaw meetup #15 that happened last month, on Tuesday February 11th 2020.
Two weeks ago, on Tuesday November 19th, we've gathered for the 14th edition of the Gamedev.js Warsaw meetup - it was hosted in the same building as the previous one (Warsaw #13 was all about js13kGames), but in the different place - a floor below of the WeWork spaces.
A few days ago, on Tuesday October 15th we had our thirteenth Gamedev.js Warsaw meetup, and so a special edition dedicated to js13kGames 2019 was held that day.
Another month, another meetup. After the first one this year at Warsaw IT Days 2019 in March, and then Gamedev.js Warsaw #11 in April, we've met again in Codility's office on May 23rd and listen to some top quality talks.
One month after we've teamed up with Warsaw IT Days it was time to organize a meetup on our own. Well, kind of - we had some help from our friends running the meet.js Warsaw meetups.
The submission deadline for the js13kGames 2017 competition was September 13th, but it took almost half a year to finish that edition and be able to write a post mortem.
Let's quickly summarize two conferences that happened in Warsaw recently: Code Europe on December 7th and GDG DevFest on December 9th. Both events were confirmed very late and both happened just before I flew to Austin for Mozilla's All Hands.
We did something brand new this year - organized launch party for the js13kGames competition, as part of the Gamedev.js meetups in Warsaw.
After having the Mozilla Developer Roadshow in May, the Gamedev.js meetups returned to the regular place, Crux. During the sixth meetup happening in June we had something brand new - Gamedev.js Showcase, a way to show your games to the rest of the community.
Our fourth meetup was organized a few days ago - we met at the same place as usual on Thursday, April 20th. The talks we had were quite original this time.
