If you’re an HTML5 game developer that have a lot of free time, want to win something and participate with others then there’s a couple of interesting competitions going on right now or in the near future. Let’s have a look at what’s going on.

Mozilla announced the next edition of the Game On competition in which you can participate by submitting your HTML5 game, have a chance to win a trip to Game Developers Conference and have your game featured on the Mozilla Marketplace. Submissions open on December 3, 2012 and close February 20, 2013.

GitHub on the other hand picked totally different name for their compo - Game Off. To participate you have to build web-based game loosely based on forking, branching, cloning, pushing, pulling or whatever comes to your mind when you think about GitHub.

You can win one of the 5 new iPads or GitHub swag from their shop. You have whole November to make and submit your game, so there’s not much time left!

Realtime gives you another possibility to show your mad HTML5 gamedev skills and take part in their contest, xRTML Competition. Build multiplayer games on the server and win Beats, the wireless headphones by Dr. Dre and Sublime Text 2 licenses. This contest starts on November 13th and will end on January 15th.
